Where to take our dogs?

Bunker Hill Monument

The Federally managed Bunker Hill Monument Park provides a mixed use grass area for the enjoyment of tourists, local residents, and our dogs.

Important considerations: This is a no barking park.  

Dogs are required to be leashed, and good behavior is essential.

Paul Revere Park

The Massachusetts DCR managed Paul Revere Park is a mixed use public area consisting of a open grassfield close to the Zakim Bridge, and a circular field closer to the Charlestown Bridge. This is a dog friendly park which is outside of a residential area.


Important considerations: Dogs are required to be leashed although most dogs run free. As always, good dog and owner behavior is essential.

The Historic Training Field

The Boston managed Training Field is a mixed use public area bisected by the Freedom Trail. This park provides waste bag dispensers and a dog-friendly water fountain.

Fells Reservation

The Fells Reservation is a large park with long wooded trails, open fields, beautiful ledges, and natural beauty. It is a 12 minute drive from Charlestown. Rt 93 North to Exit 33 (Fellsway North), follow to the reservation parking on left and overflow on right. 

 

The Fells includes Sheepfold Park, a dog friendly park which serves many communities.
